Thank you for taking the time to meet with me in your office at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, May 16, 20XX, in regard to a new position of Senior Financial Analyst for the company’s commercial real estate holdings. In addition, I appreciate the brief tour of the corporate office.
I am excited to be considered for this opportunity and would like to work with you in accomplishing your vision to provide enhanced financial analysis for the commercial real estate division, similar to your success in support of the single-family and multi-family residential real estate divisions. Financial analysis has long been an interest of mine in that I like the challenge of digging into the relevant details and producing a coherent story as to the driving factors impacting financial results. In addition, I welcome an opportunity to increasingly be involved in analysis of specific commercial real estate projects being considered by the company. As you may recall in our conversation, and as briefly referenced to in my resume, I offer the following:
· 3 years of public accounting experience with one of the region’s top accounting firms · Approximately 35 percent of my audit and tax work in public accounting has been for clients in the real estate and construction industries · While in college, I completed a full-time summer internship working in the accounting department of a large real estate investment trust · Recently passed 3 of 4 parts of the CPA exam
I continue to enjoy my work in public accounting. I like the challenges and the professional work environment.
